The one-line version
Unmad has no server and needs no account. Nothing you write, choose, or play in the app leaves your phone. We cannot collect anything about you, because there is nowhere for it to go.
No network. No upload.
Unmad makes no network requests at all. No sign-in, no cloud sync, no ad SDK, no analytics, no third-party tracking. There is no place in the app that sends data off this device.
What’s stored here
- Your rescue and cool-down records: when they happened, the anger level you reported, and which activities you played
- Your mood notes, and anything sitting in the optional cool-down box
- Your preferences: language, sound, vibration, and which version you use
All of it lives in this device’s local storage (the iOS sandbox). Unmad does not upload it, sync it, or back it up anywhere else.
Backups
Unmad marks its own storage folder as excluded from backup, so a full iPhone backup (iCloud or a computer) does not carry these records. Switch phones or restore from a backup and they don’t come across. Unmad keeps no copy of them either.
What it never touches
No contacts, no photos, no messages, no location, no microphone, no camera. What you write is shown only to you. Unmad has no send, share, or forward function, so not a single line gets sent on your behalf.
Deleting
- Every note you write can be permanently deleted on its own
- “Me → Clear all records” deletes every record and keeps your settings
- “Me → Erase all local data” deletes the settings too
- Delete the app from your phone and this data goes with it
Anything you chose to delete for good is not quietly kept.
Children
Unmad is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information. Since the app collects no data at all, there are no server-side records to delete, whoever is using it.
Not a medical service
Unmad does not assess, diagnose, or treat anything, and it is not counseling. If you need professional help, please contact a professional. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.
Changes to this policy
If a future version ever adds something that leaves the device, this page and the in-app privacy policy will be updated in that same release, and the release notes will say so.
